Two decades have already passed since the creation of one of the most modern logistics centre for industrial supplies in Europe. Originally a division for industrial supplies within the parent company Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG, Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co. KG was established as an independent subsidiary at Würth Industrial Park in Bad Mergentheim on 13th January 1999. With currently 1,700 employees, Würth Industrie Service focuses on supplying C-Parts to industrial customers in the manufacturing industry and provides holistic services to a total of 20,000 customers. A trading company that specializes in serving industrial customers not only needs dedicated employees; it also needs an extensive infrastructure. Würth Industrial Park, established on the grounds of the former Deutschordenkaserne (Teutonic Order military base), is the ideal location for such an enterprise.

With our service brand “CPS® C-Parts Solutions”, Würth Industrie Service offers customers in the manufacturing industry made-to-measure logistics supply and service concepts such as scanner-supported storage rack systems, automated electronic ordering systems or just-in-time supplies in Kanban bin systems. This system network starts directly at the place of demand and consumption. The goals are geared clearly towards lowering sourcing costs, optimizing processes, reducing costs and maximizing time savings while at the same time maximizing supply security and minimizing capital commitment.
With our brand promise “C-Parts. With Certainty”, we are targeting maximum process and supply security as well as maximum safety and security in terms of system and product quality. To be able to enable optimum and automated C-Part supplies, you need the right product, in the right quantity and quality, at the right price, at the right location, at the right time. What is needed for this type of professional industrial C-Part supplies: a product range comprising more than 1,100,000 items, including conventional connecting systems and fasteners, DIN and standard parts, auxiliary materials and operating supplies such as PPE and technical chemicals, special parts as per drawing – and all that in a customized service concept tailored to the specific individual requirements.

One of the most modern logistics centre for industrial supplies in Europe – that of Würth Industrie Service in Bad Mergentheim – constitutes the hub of all our activities. Every month, the incoming goods department receives an average of 9,500 tons of goods. An average of about 500,000 items leave the goods issue area. The 122-hectare premises of Würth Industrie Service offer enormous growth opportunities. Today, the Würth Industrial Park has a logistics area of approximately 56,500 square meters with a storage capacity of approximately 650,000 storage locations. Apart from multifunctional workstations, several robots have already been integrated into logistics operations. By taking over strenuous physical tasks and thanks to their permanent operation, these robots improve both ergonomics as well as productivity.
